Sokoban Wiki

Boxy Boy, released in Japan as Sokoban Deluxe (倉庫番デラックス) is a puzzle game developed by Namco and released in 1990 for Arcades, running on the Namco System 1 arcade board.

Overview[]

Boxy Boy features 55 Sokoban puzzles divided among five difficulty levels. Upon choosing a difficulty the player can freely choose any of the eleven puzzles of that difficulty to play them in any order.

Being an arcade title, Boxy Boy's puzzles run on a timer; once the timer reaches zero the player loses and must insert a credit to continue. While solving the puzzles the player is allowed to undo his last move or reset the puzzle, however doing those doesn't reset the timer. Once a puzzle is completed the player is graded on the number of steps taken and amount of time left, earning points accordingly.
