Sokoban Wiki

Power Sokoban (POWER倉庫番) is a puzzle game developed by Atelier Double and released in 1999 for the Super Famicom in Japan.

Overview[]

Power Sokoban is a unique title which blends the traditional Sokoban gameplay with light action elements and exploration. Instead of individual puzzles, the player must explore four large dungeons, with each of the screens containing a Sokoban puzzle. Instead of moving boxes into marked spots, the player is tasked with moving rocks into holes from which enemies constantly spawn from. The player can push the rocks into the enemies to defeat them, or attack them by shooting fireballs. The player can charge the fireball, whose trajectory can be controlled for as long as the player holds the button. These can not only defeat enemies but also be used to push unreachable rocks and destroy cracked walls to reveal secret rooms. Scattered on the dungeons are various NPCs which help the player as well as items used to progress.

Story[]

Now, Demon Kid, this is the map to invade the enemy castle. If we close the "big hole" that is said to be somewhere in the enemy castle, the Western monsters will never be able to come to Japan again. It will be a dangerous battle, but are you ready? Now is the time to fight to save Japan's monster village!
