Sokoban Densetsu: Hikari to Yami no Kuni (倉庫番伝説 光と闇の国, Warehouse Keeper Legend: The Land of Light and Darkness) is a puzzle game developed by J-Wing and released in 1999 for the Nintendo Game Boy Color in Japan.
Overview[]
Much like Power Sokoban, Sokoban Densetsu mixes the traditional Sokoban gameplay with light action elements. Instead of moving boxes the player is tasked with rescuing villagers by moving them into magical spots marked on the floor. Unlike Power Sokoban this game is linear; each room of the dungeon is a unique puzzle, with the player only being allowed to move to the next room by solving the current room. Along with prisoners, rooms also have stationery enemies which will kill the player when touched. The player can shoot a magical projectile at enemies, knocking them and allowing them to be pushed around; the player must push them into holes in order to rid of them and create new pathways on the rooms.
Story[]
The beautiful princess Sophia and her prince Ciel live in the peaceful and tranquil Kingdom of Light. But then the evil hand of the Demon Lord Blood, who lives in the Kingdom of Darkness, reaches out to them. Sophia has been captured by Blood! Will Sophia be turned into a stone statue in the Kingdom of Darkness? Or... The outcome is entirely up to you.
